Social Value Manager

Wates Group are looking to appoint a Social Value Manager within our Construction North East and Yorkshire team. The purpose of the Social Value Manager is to Manage the delivery of Social Value activity, enhancing the brand for our customers and leaving a lasting legacy. This position will support our bid documents/proposals and forge greater relationships with our key clients by understanding their objectives and agenda.

Main Accountabilities:

• Manage the delivery of Social Value, with a focus on project/contract KPIs, within a BU
• Provide support and guidance to specified projects/contracts on Social Value matters.
• Contribute to work winning including understanding customer and community priorities, conducting research, developing innovative approaches and forecasting Social Value.
• Responsible for the timely reporting and measurement of the social impact of specified projects including project KPIs and Community Investment Plan updates
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key local stakeholders and customers (internal and external)
• Collaborate with comms team about social media content
• Identify and support BU champions for SV / SE / WEX / Safeguarding / D&I / Wellbeing across the region
• Collaboratively work with the Social Value team across the Group
• Provide light touch support on Environmental & CCS initiatives/reporting
