Mobile Worker Plus are looking to recruit a Software Development Engineer to their fast growing development team. The ideal candidate will have the initiative to work alone as well as part of a team evolving and bug fixing multiple applications that run inside the Mobile Worker Plus framework. Mobile Worker Plus applications are deployed across the transportation sector and address a number of workforce management challenges faced by companies who typically have a large field worker employee base and need to operate in a secure and real-time environment.

The Role

  • Developing RESTful APIs including interaction with databases with a focus on readable, maintainable and well-tested code
  • Developing event driven microservices (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Integrating with third-party APIs such as payment gateways
  • Creating associated API documentation and working in partnership with developers consuming your APIs
  • Working as part of a cross-functional scrum team and contributing your expertise to drive the overall success of a project
  • Being an advocate for engineering best practices across your project team

Requirements

  • Must have Right to work in the UK
  • Good knowledge of both spoken and written English
  • Strong knowledge of API development using Java, Java Spring Boot, Maven including ORM usage (PostgreSQL)
  • Enthusiastic and experienced in using engineering best practices, clean code and unit testing
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional development team
  • Passion and Enthusiasm for delivering great products

Beneficial

  • Knowledge of NodeJS, Typescript, Angular
  • Experience working with payment services
  • Experience of using Google Cloud products

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
