Breakthrough in Education are currently looking to recruit a graduate to become a teaching assistant in a special provisions school local to the Ipswich area. The school caters to students with SEND and is equipped with a number of facilities to cater to their needs.

Your Role within this setting will be to assist the students in their learning, taking into consideration their health care plans, and additional needs. You'll be working alongside therapists such as speech and language therapists, rebound therapists and music therapists in this setting, giving you the opportunity to gain lots of experience in a therapeutic setting, and an educational setting.

The Role

• To assist the class teacher
• To ensure the classroom is a safe and tidy environment
• To keep track of each students learning journey
• Engage the students in their education
• Work alongside therapeutic bodies and ensure each students needs are met
• Understand and maintain your safeguarding roles and responsibilities
• Engage pupils in extra-curricular and outside play activities

We recruit for permanent and temporary SEN positions across Suffolk. By taking a temporary role through Breakthrough in Education you will be paid on a weekly basis.
