Salary: £10.10 per hour
Shifts: Day Shifts with sleep-ins
Days – 8am-10pm (3 x 14-hour shifts consisting of 3 on 4 off ) with sleep-ins x 2 across the 3-day rota.

• Must currently live in Devon, Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol (for community purposes)
• Working towards or hold a care related undergraduate level qualification
• Have worked in the UK care sector for a year (references must be obtained to support this)
• Must currently be on a T4 Student Visa

Burrowdown are seeking Tier 4 International students studying a qualification in the UK who are on the cusp of completing university. You must have 12 months UK care work experience working within a care environment.

The chances are, you’re probably feeling excited at the thought of completing your qualification and achieving graduation on your Tier 4 student visa. When your course of study comes to an end, however, there’s an important question to ask yourself and your family: Should you stay in the UK or return home?

For some students, switching to a Tier 2 skilled worker visa to work as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker is an attractive option.

A Tier 2 skilled worker visa allows you to stay in the UK and be gainfully employed with an approved employer while the period living and working here will go towards getting permanent residence in the UK.

To switch to a Skilled Worker visa in 2022 you’ll need to:

• Have an approved UK employer that is certified by the Home Office such as Burrowdown
• Obtain a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer along with all the information regarding the role you’ve been offered in the UK
• Obtain an employment offer for a job that is listed under the Tier 2 eligible occupations

How long can you stay?

As an organisation passionate about consistency and routine for our customers, we offer skilled workers 3-5 years employment commitment.

Providing you adhere the skilled worker visa conditions, you can also update your visa when it expires or if your circumstances change.

Support Worker duties:

• Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
• Assisting people we support o achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies
• Assisting with the development of person-centred care plans for our residents. This includes employment, education, and other opportunities
• Maintaining records and developing risk assessments
• Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence
• Undertaking daily activities and development for people we support
