Takeaway Assistant - Fridays & Saturdays

We are looking for a reliable person with a mature mindset to join our hardworking team at the Olympus Takeaway. We are committed to providing high-quality food to our customers and our staff are paramount to that.

You will be working alongside our Takeaway Supervisor and team of Takeaway Assistants, therefore you must have a positive attitude to working within a team and be a team-player.

The following tasks will be carried out as part of this role:
- Taking customers' orders
- Preparing orders
- Till work and cash handling
- Packaging orders for delivery
- Plating up food for the Olympus restaurant
- Cleaning equipment before and after use
- Keeping workstations clean and tidy
- General cleaning duties

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- Able to take instructions and follow them.
- Be a team-player
- Able to speak over background noise and be heard by customers
- Able to use touch-screen devices
- Will follow food hygiene & safety regulations
- Able to work on own initiative
- Punctual, reliable, honest and trustworthy

- Has a positive attitude to work and learning

- Working hours are between 11.00am and 7.30pm. This role would suit someone who would like a part-time position of around 16 hours per week over Fridays and Saturdays.
- Due to the nature of this role, there are strict policies in place in regards to nail polish/fake nails and jewellery. Therefore, you will be asked to refrain from wearing these items during working hours in order to comply with food safety & hygiene regulations.
- All staff begin on National Minimum Wage for their age group. Then, for the right candidates, the hourly rate may increase. Please check your hourly rate and ensure you are happy with this before applying.
