Grade: UE07, Salary Range: £35,333 - £42,155 per annum (pro rata)
Hourly rate: £19.91 - £23.65 plus annual leave allowance
College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences/Centre for Open Learning/Open Studies
Contract type: Open ended/permanent
Part time: 10 Guaranteed Hours towards the end of 2022/23 academic year for introduction and familiarisation with the Centre for Open Learning and course materials and a minimum of 40 Guaranteed Hours for 2023/24 academic year
We are looking for a teaching colleague to provide preparation, planning and delivery in Fibre Arts courses, with the potential of a developing a new Fashion Design course in the future, introducing students to the practical skills and techniques of these discipline through non-credit and credit bearing course. Fostering knowledge, understanding and contextual awareness of the subject specialism being studied. The Teaching Fellow appointed will therefore be able to transition between Fibre Arts and Fashion courses, able to support;
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will be a graduate with relevant teaching experience, have excellent communication skills and be able to fulfil the administrative responsibilities related to teaching. This post is offered on a guaranteed hours basis with the expectation that the appointee will teach a minimum of one evening per week during term-time and minimum of one term per year, depending on enrolments.
