About the University of Salford
The school of Science Engineering and Environment aims to transform the quality of life for society and the well-being of future generations through a better and more sustainable future. Industry collaboration is at the core of what we do and is combined with a passion for research and finding solutions to real world problems, and those that we may face in the future. Our work is truly interdisciplinary with a strong focus on developing our knowledge for our colleagues as well as students.
The University’s Campus Masterplan includes 3 new buildings for the SEE School and marks a real step change in our ability to deliver world leading research and innovation. Our £55 million New Adelphi flagship building offers a diverse range of spaces and equipment to suit all creative requirements and we are also the only UK university to have a campus at MediaCityUK - an international media hub with neighbours such as the BBC and ITV.
We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community, a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from women and individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are currently under-represented within these areas.
