Job Purpose - Technical Support Engineer

Responsible for supporting the Senior Technical Support Engineer as required in all aspects of the DRS fleet.

Principal Accountabilities

Key areas

• Support the Senior Engineering Management Team by assisting with the reviewing and production of all documents relating to the fleet, to include but not exclusively be technical documents, maintenance plans and working instructions.
• Assist with the development of maintenance and reliability improvements, and enhancements to internal knowledge and capability relating to the DRS locomotive fleet.
• Undertake projects associated with technical improvements and linked to business strategy.
• Produce full specifications to support the generation of tenders in order that the work contracted out to external parties meets the expectations and requirements of the company.
• To supervise work undertaken by all 3rd party contractors commissioned to deliver any aspect of the annual project program and any routine maintenance. Feedback any issues accordingly.
