With over 10 years of delivery successes, the Trade Surveillance Technology team at Citi Belfast designs and develops leading software products that enable our internal compliance partners to detect potentially illegal trading patterns on the world’s capital markets. We are experts in our field and are proud of our local culture of design and innovation, strategic thinking, global technology solutions delivery, and working as a team to play a role in ensuring responsible finance for Citi’s clients.

Due to the need to innovate quickly and build ever more sophisticated fraud detection platforms, we are expanding the team in Belfast.

Due to the need to innovate quickly and build ever more sophisticated fraud detection platforms, we are expanding the team in Belfast with additional technology delivery roles, across QA / Software Testing, IT Business Analysis, Project Management, Program Management, Technology Delivery Managers, and Team Leads.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a senior QA manager to run our global QA / software testing function across multiple Compliance Technology portfolios.

The successful candidate will be an established testing expert, with a strong background working in technology teams to test and deliver projects and roll out new products.

You will be a strong advocate for quality, responsible for defining the overarching test architecture, strategy and choices, and pro-actively influencing senior stakeholders to ensure product quality and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly manage multiple teams of QA leads and analysts across multiple locations, including Citi employees and vendor management
• Estimate, plan and complete test cycles, manage risks and issues, provide status reporting across multiple large portfolios and programs of technology project delivery work
• Create and deliver a QA automation roadmap across all of our Trade Surveillance platforms
• Partner with Data Scientists, Software Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to thoroughly understand products and ensure delivery on time and within budget
• Work with engineering and delivery partners to ensure the successful delivery of industry leading surveillance software
• Review business and functional requirements in order to produce, plan and execute high quality test plans
• Build and leverage surveillance systems and capital markets knowledge to enable a thorough and robust approach to testing
• Analyze system flows to understand all aspects of data acquisition, analysis, and mapping work (including trade, market and reference data), as well as surveillance engine logic and GUI functionality
• Facilitate UAT

Knowledge/Experience & Skills:

• An extensive and proven career history in QA / testing, with direct responsibility for managing QA teams or organizations
• Advanced hands on and leadership experience delivering full software test lifecycles (strategy, planning, execution, reporting, etc.) across SDLC variations, including Scrum Agile and Waterfall
• Strong track record in end to end systems and application testing, with hands-on expertise on any of the following: UI/UX, Big Data platforms (e.g. hive, hbase, mongo), Data ingestion/quality/reconciliation solutions, Data processing and complex event processing, Business logic engines
• Experience delivering performance testing and other areas of non-functional testing
• Demonstrable knowledge of test automation design and a proven background in automating QA solutions (preferred, but not essential)
• Strong technical skillset with hands-on expertise on any of the following: Microsoft SQL, Big Data Hive, JIRA, Excel & VB Macro skills, Selenium, Automation Scripting
• Experience testing systems that process large volumes of complex data and apply complex mathematical functions
• Experience testing systems that are based on Data Mining, Big Data, Behavioural Analytics, and Machine Learning techniques (preferred, but not essential)
• Proven experience in driving adoption of new processes/technologies across multiple teams
• Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholder groups within a fast paced environment, anticipating future requirements across multiple parallel projects/streams
• Exceptional leadership qualities, with an established track record in coaching others at all technical levels, and the ability to bring multiple technical teams together, both onsite and remotely, to work towards common goals and on time product delivery
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas to people from various business and technology backgrounds
• Understanding of Capital Markets, for example trading, the trade lifecycle, exchanges, market participants, etc. across multiple asset classes (preferred, but not essential)
