JOB TITLE: Communications & Engagement Assistant

REPORTING TO: Communications & Engagement Manager

The prime responsibility of this role is to support the Communications team and assist in the operation of the press office, while helping to increase awareness of the cluster through communicating with the press and building relationships with editorial beauty assistants, online press, micro-influencers and makeup artists.

Working in conjunction with the Communications & Engagement Manager & Assistant Manager the successful candidate will be working with a supportive team who will help s/he develop their communications skills further.

Kilian Paris is a Paris based eco-luxe fragrance brand that embodies timeless sophistication and modern luxury, created by Kilian Hennessy, grandson of the founder of LVMH. By Kilian offers an exclusive “wardrobe” of scents that reflect Mr. Hennessy’s deep-rooted legacy of luxury and creativity. Elements of the brand’s packaging including perfume bottles and candle holders are meant to be kept as keepsakes, which is reflective of Kilian’s philosophy that true luxury should not be disposable.

Le Labo was born in Grasse, the capital of perfumery located in the French Riviera. It was raised in New York, the city where Edouard Roschi and Fabrice Penot opened the first lab in February 2006 on Elizabeth Street in Nolita. We work with a community of craftswomen and craftsmen who contribute to and shape our world: the perfumer, the lab technician, the candle pourer, the rose harvester. Frederic Malle perfume was founded in 2000 bringing artisan scent, home fragrance and bath and body products to the forefront of the beauty industry. Addressing a gap in the perfume market for substance over style, Malle and his team of world-renowned noses have created a collection of must-have scents and cult favourites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to email press enquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensure smooth running of the press office including overseeing planned mail outs, ordering stock for office and tracking products as requested.
• FOC and PO management.
• Manage press, VIP & influencer databases across all four brands.
• Track, monitor and analyse media coverage for Communications team across all four brands.
• Assist in the organisation and running of physical and virtual press events as guided by team.
• Be the main point of contact for suppliers, escalating any issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute towards a productive and healthy working environment.

KEY ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• The successful candidate will have superb communication, organisational and writing skills in addition to possessing an eye for detail.
• They should possess meticulous attention to detail, have highly effective time management and organisational skills and be a team player.
• They should also be extremely social media savvy and demonstrate a strong interest in the beauty influencer community.
• Experience at a similar level in the PR industry, preferably within the beauty, fashion or lifestyle sector is required.
• Applicants should be able to demonstrate a keen interest in fashion, as well as a passion for luxury cosmetics and fragrance.
• Proficient computer skills are required, including a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
