Top Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder

Austin Racing is a UK-based company that specialises in designing and manufacturing high-performance motorcycle exhaust systems. We are known for our distinctive premium quality and innovative designs that offer a significant boost in performance, sound, and aesthetics.

We have an immediate vacancy for a Top Metal Fabricator / Welder. Candidates must be highly skilled fabricators, and it is essential that they are able to produce work to a very high standard.

Candidates must be able to TIG weld to a competent standard, and training is provided to help candidates achieve the required standards we set.

You will need to have proven experience and ideally be time served or have acquired relevant training. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced fabricator wishing to utilise their broad experience in an established organisation.

Accuracy is key, and candidates must to be able to read and follow technical drawings. Candidates must also be experienced in the use of inspection and measurement apparatus including CMM, Calipers, Pin gauge, Height gauge.

Responsibilities

• Welding titanium and inconel down to 0.7mm thickness
• Producing top of the range motorcycle exhaust systems
• Working through a personal fabrication queue

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong ability to fabricate
• Competent at TIG welding
• Ability to self-direct; organise a personal job list and prioritise, based on importance and time available.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Good communication skills and able to work well in a team driven environment.
• Strong ability to multitask
• Friendly and upbeat demeanour
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings (GD&T).
• Experience in the use of inspection and measurement apparatus including CMM, Calipers, Pin gauge, Height gauge.
• Exposure to Fabrication & welding environment is highly advantageous.
• Must have good written English skills.
