Location: Shelah Road, Halesowen, West Midlands, B63 3XL
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
As a Trainee Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring software and applications to ensure the smooth-running of the Group’s I.T. systems.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and experienced team to help support and maintain I.T. services across the branch network.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress their I.T. career, offering exposure to a range of I.T. applications, software, and hardware within a technologically diverse and progressive team.
Key responsibilities may include:
Assist in the implementation of new software and systems across the business
Resolve user queries, requests, and incidents in an efficient manner, escalating within the department where appropriate
Develop knowledge and a skillset to be able to diagnose and resolve issues and faults on software
Log and respond to requests for support from system users
Provide training to users on new systems, either in-person, over the phone or virtually
Create and update documents, guides, and articles for use by employees
The ideal candidate will have following key skills:
1+ years’ experience working within an I.T. Service Desk environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – must be able to interact effectively with personnel in various roles across the business and work as part of a team
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail
Effective personal management skills – able to work under pressure, manage workload and prioritise deadlines
ITIL framework awareness would be an advantage
ERP support experience and distribution industry knowledge is preferred, but not essential
An understanding of basic business principles would be also be advantageous
