The role of the business analyst in software development is to be the bridge between clients, users and development teams. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
As part of a cross-functional team, Business Analysts at Geeks take ownership of the requirements of software development projects. That means explaining functionality to other team members, working closely with clients stakeholders to seek clarification, and incorporating change requests into low fidelity wireframes. In addition business analysts will create state diagrams, data maps and process models to enhance the team’s understanding.
As a trainee business analyst at Geeks you are expected to learn how to maintain and update requirement backlogs in our project management tool AMP, and our prototyping tool visual spec. You will learn how to apply business analysis techniques and acquire knowledge of the software development life cycle.
