Job Description

AAT are a leading, specialist Lifting and Safety Equipment Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Company, working within the Wind Energy Industry throughout the UK and Europe. Due to continued company growth, we require motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Calibration Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • As a Trainee Calibration Engineer you will be responsible for calibrating a wide range of equipment including pressure, force, torque and dimensional mass.
  • You will be required to carry out the inspection of Portable Fire Extinguishers, PPE, Lifting Equipment and other equipment, plant and machinery as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain good relationships with clients, communicating with clients where necessary.
  • You will be part of team working to the highest safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Our work is carried out throughout the UK therefore there is a requirement to work away from home

Qualifications

  • Ideally with calibration experience (although not essential for the right applicant with good learning aptitude)
  • Completed a technical apprenticeship
  • You will possess a full, clean driving license

Competencies

  • Experience of team working
  • An enthusiastic approach, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and well organised
  • Has a passion for the accuracy of measurement;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Is adaptable with a keen eye for detail
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK as the business requires.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment is confirmed.
