Trainee Carpenter, Ceiling and Partition Fixer

Do you already have an NVQ in the Construction Industry? Will you shortly be finishing your college course?

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Ceiling and Partition Fixer / Trainee Carpenter. Starter salary circa £15000 to £15500 per annum based on working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Overtime available and paid in addition. Uniform, 28 days paid annual leave and stakeholder pension are part of the directly employed package. A friendly persona is required - customer satisfaction and pride in the job is essential.

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT TO GET TO A PICK UP POINT IN OLDBURY, SMETHWICK TO TRAVEL TO SITE IN COMPANY VEHICLE. Must be an early rising in the mornings. May be required to work out of town.

With qualifications and experience, ceiling fixers can earn a good living.

To be a ceiling fixer you need:

• to be able to understand technical plans and instructions
• good manual skills, with the ability to work accurately and neatly
• a good standard of arithmetic for measuring areas and calculating amounts of materials
• to be physically fit
• the ability to work in a team or alone
• good time management skills
• an awareness of health and safety issues.
