Trainee HGV Driver - London West

Trainee HGV Drivers required - No experience needed!

Full training provided to take you up to Class C+E (Class 1).

The starting salary is £ 26,000 plus overtime and benefits, with staged increases as training is completed.

AFI currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee HGV Driver position to be based at our West London depot. The successful candidate will receive all the training required to gain your LGV Class 1 licence (C+E). All training will be provided free of charge provided that the employee remains with the company for two years.

The successful candidate will also be trained to carry out pre-delivery inspections on our machinery and to operate truck mounted platforms. You will be employed in these roles while undergoing HGV driver training and then until such time that a suitable driving vacancy becomes available. This will help provide invaluable experience on our fleet of equipment for when later transferring into a driving role as positions become available.

• The successful candidate will be trained to HGV Class 1 free of charge. However, this offer is made subject to you remaining in the company’s employment for two years following the completion of your course. Should you leave AFI during the two-year period, you will be required to pay back the full cost of the course.

A mechanical aptitude would be beneficial as you will be inspecting, delivering, and collecting our fleet of plant machinery as part of this Trainee HGV Driver role.
