Job Description

Trainee Industrial Painter – Painting

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Industrial Painter to join the Powertherm team. The candidate will carry out Industrial paint and coatings application using airless spray, brush and roller to pipework and steelwork, working on projects throughout the UK but based primarily in our yard in Sheffield.

A typical day in your role as an Industrial Painter will involve:

  • Industrial paint and coatings application using airless spray, brush and roller to pipework and steelwork.
  • Paint bay maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Masking up of flange faces.
  • Touch up of painted systems using roller and brush.
  • Working within a yard or on a construction site
  • General yard duties.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is hard-working, reliable with a willingness to learn
  • Is flexible and willing to perform other duties between projects, such as labouring and van driving for example.
  • Has a driving license and is prepared to travel (expenses or a vehicle will be provided by the company)

It would be desirable (but not essential) if you have the following:

  • Experience in working in a yard environment
  • Site-based qualifications such as Forklift truck, Telehandler, Banksman

The role is full time and it is based at Sheffield.
