The Payments Consulting Group is a team of highly trained professional consultants within Global Strategy & Capabilities (GS&C). American Express depends on the Payments Consultant team to manage payment processing relationships with managed Merchants and Partners.
Payments Consultants enable card acceptance, identify and implement products, provide technical servicing expertise and champion the voice of the customer to internal teams.
Team members must maintain deep and current knowledge about the payments industry, market trends, new and existing technologies, products and services, and the structure of American Express and customer organizations.
This role demands an experienced and persuasive customer facing consultant with analytical skills, thought leadership and a track record of complex problem solving. The right candidate for this opportunity will be a strong, collaborative, self-directed individual who demonstrates the ability to brainstorm solutions as well as lead projects and drive results. Influence management skills, consensus building, and the capability to work across multiple internal and external partners is required.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Provide consultative and product enablement support to UK Merchants, the American Express UK Merchant Acquisition and Client Management Teams, external partners such as third party processors, Point Of Sale Terminal vendors, internal Account Management and Product teams.
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Merchant
