Veterinary Commercial Manager

Fully remote or hybrid

Role purpose

This is a key role within the Commercial team to reduce indemnity spend and create other revenue channels by pioneering novel and creative concepts and fostering strategic veterinary group relationships.

Responsibilities

• Use internal and external data to collaborate with stakeholders from inside and outside of the business to develop a veterinary/clinical spending strategy for AFI.
• Create and deliver a comprehensive program of innovative solutions and action plans to effectively manage and reduce our indemnity/veterinary spending working across the company and bringing others with you.
• Lead AFI in developing robust and dynamic strategic partnerships and commercial arrangements with the senior leaders of key veterinary groups. Create and work with the rest of the Commercial team to sell new and exciting propositions that create mutual benefits.
• Regularly report on the progress of the veterinary strategy and associated indemnity and profit-driving projects to the wider business and SLT when required.
• Promote AFI at external industry events and act as a leader in the market.

Requirements

• Strong commercial awareness within the Pet Insurance and/or Veterinary sector
• Veterinary qualification or another relevant clinical knowledge
• Strong influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and to influence at all levels.
• Project management experience
• Ability to get on with a variety of personalities.
• Ability to actively seek out new opportunities, work under own initiative and in a timely manner.
