Veterinary Nurse Assistant

We are recruiting a Veterinary Nurse Assistant for our Veterinary clinic in Canning Town, London, 151-153 Barking Road, London E16 4HQ. For this role you will need experience in working closely with animals in a clinical setting and be happy being busy in a job which supports the team of Veterinary Nurses in a charity setting. Examples of responsibilities will be refilling supplies, autoclaving, cleaning instruments, preparing materials required by the Vets and Nurses and holding animals during procedures. You will also do the laundry, feed and clean animals that are in recovery. You need to be comfortable working on your own and once you know the job, be happy to work without constant direction. Very high standards of cleaning are expected as is the ability and willingness to comply with rules concerning hygiene and disease control.

This is a full-time permanent position (40 hours per week). Before applying please consider how you would travel to the Canning Town Clinic how long this will take and what it is likely to cost. It will probably work best if you live locally.

Ideally, you will need to have a proven track record working in similar environment for this role.
