Volunteer Cost of Living Support Administrator
Closing Date- 23rd February 2023
Who we are:
The Reward and Benefits team manage the remuneration and benefits package for staff and officers across the organisation. The team strives to have innovative reward strategies that attract and retain talented individuals and recognises excellent performance and behaviours to ensure the force remains resilient and can deliver its strategic objectives. We work to give back to all the hard-working staff who support West Midlands Police in the best ways we can, to ensure they feel valued and appreciated within our organisation.
Why we need your help:
The Reward and Benefits Team has responsibility for a cost of living portal, which provides signposting and guidance around money saving tips and offers. At a time when the cost of living has become a big problem, we need your help to ensure we are all aware of the best deals available. As the cost of living administrator, it will be your task to find these offers, document them and work with internal departments to get these offers displayed on our hub, while simultaneously making sure the information on the hub already is up to date. This work matters, and your support will directly help families get through this difficult time.
What we can offer you:
While volunteering is unpaid, there are a number of benefits our volunteers gain from their time with us:

Vetting:
Successful applicants will need to complete NPPV level 2 vetting.
West Midlands Police is a Disability Confident Leader - the highest level an organisation can achieve under the scheme run by the Department of Work and Pensions. As part of our commitment we operate a ‘Disability Confident Interview Scheme’ - all candidates who declare a disability and meet the essential criteria for the role will be offered an interview.
It is important to note that there may be occasions where it is not practicable or appropriate to interview all disabled people who meet the essential criteria for the job. For example: in certain recruitment situations such as high-volume, seasonal and high-peak times, the employer may wish to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled people and non-disabled people. In these circumstances, the employer could select the candidates who best meet the essential criteria for the job, as they would do for non-disabled applicants.
