The opportunity:

Our popular bistro, Pizza Pasta Mondo, is expanding and we are looking for two friendly and competent servers to ensure our customers have a memorable experience; one part time employee and one full time employee with availability throughout the whole week. Since the quality of our service is crucial to success, the ideal candidates will be able to provide superior guest service and ensure the dining experience meets high standards, from the food to the environment.

You should be adept at working in fast-paced and unpredictable environments where you will need to think on your feet and work well with the entire team, from the chefs to other serving staff to ensure a memorable Italian dining experience.

Key accountabilities:

• Welcome customers when they arrive at the bistro and Introduce the menu including daily or seasonal menu specials
• Maintain high standards of hygiene at the premise
• Take customers' orders for food and drink
• Prepare hot and cold drinks and serve them to customers
• Collect food orders from the kitchen, verify that they are correct, and serve them to customers
• Ensure that customers are satisfied with their meals
• Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
• Prepare cheques and process cash and credit card payments and returns change to customers if necessary
• Taking takeaway orders over the phone as well as packaging takeaway orders
• Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refill condiments
• Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
• Any other duties directed by your line manager
