Warehouse Operations Manager

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIRED - LARGE RETAIL VENUE - NEAR FARNHAM - CIRCA £45,000 + BENEFITS

This venue is a large retail outlet on the outskirts of Farnham, open 7 days a week, daytime hours. A popular venue with a variety of retail products and on-site restaurant, this is a very busy £multi-million turnover business with a very high number of products.

We are assisting in the recruitment of an Operations Manager responsible for the stock delivery, inventory and be part of the Senior Management team on site. Taking control of the Warehouse Operations you will:

• Be accountable for all stock held in the premises
• Deal with all deliveries and resolve any stock control issues
• Oversee all Health & Safety operations
• Complete regular stock audits
• Manage a team of direct reports as well as oversee approximately 35 team members
• Act as duty manager for the business, managing the day-to-day operations in the absence of the General Manager
• Deal with and resolve customer queries
• Complete forecasting and budget management requirements
• Deal directly with suppliers and resolve issues as and when the occur

This is a hands-on management position, ensuring your teams are working effectively and communicating properly with the retail floor. You will develop a good range of product knowledge and be expected to show leadership and decision making at all times, you will:

• Come from a large retail environment or warehouse distribution operation
• Have managed teams of over 30 people
• Have controlled and worked with strict budgets
• Ideally have retail brand experience
• Be team focussed, able to create a positive working environment
• Be computed competent, able to track and manage stock on in-house systems
