Warehouse Operative

We are a family run business looking to expand our warehouse team

Main Purpose of the Job

To ensure the safe offloading and loading of cargo into and out of the warehouse. Employees must always ensure that they are accurate, careful and perform their tasks with due care and attention.

Main Tasks of the Job

• Forklift Driving
• To load and offload containers and trailers in a safe, efficient and accurate manner
• Handballing
• To ensure safe working practices
• To ensure accuracy in all work carried out
• To work as efficiently as possible promoting the best interests of the company at all times
• To be vigilant in the safety and security of all cargo under the control and care of the company

The above is not an exhaustive list and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated within the organisation for its overall business objectives.

Essential Skills -

• Must be physically fit
• Must be numerate
• Must have a good level of English language - in speech, reading and writing.

The hours are Monday to Friday, Day shift 7am to 5pm

20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Regular overtime and weekends available

Salary is open to negotiation and dependent upon experience

Forklift licence essential

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £9.50-£13.00 per hour
