Warehouse Operative

Gap personnel are recruiting 2*Warehouse Operatives on a temporary ongoing basis for our prestigious client based in Alwaton Hill business park.

These are long term roles; the client will provide ongoing investment in worker training to continually develop the role & responsibilities of workers.

The client has an outstanding work environment with a subsidised canteen with hot meals available for £2 per day + other benefits.

Shifts: Monday & Tuesday 12:00pm-Finish Up to 2130pm, Wednesday to Friday 10:00am-Finish up to 20:30

There is some flexibility on fixed shifts if late shift is preferred, also part-time shifts maybe available.

Basic Pay £10.51 per hour

Overtime of £13.14 after 7.45 hours daily & after 20:00pm daily

Overtime of £13.14 on Saturdays (if worked)

Monthly bonus of £100 payable on attendance & kpi performance

Duties include:

• Working as a warehouse operative in a team environment
• Picking orders to kpi standards using RF Scan gun picking system
• Labelling competed orders to prepare for despatch to customers
• Using a trolley system to complete picking across the warehouse
• Lifting products generally up to 5kg weight
• Working to site safe operating procedures

The successful candidates will:

• Have excellent verbal & written English
• Be able to work listed shifts reliably
• Be able to work effectively on own initiative & as a team
• Preferred to have previous warehouse order picking experience, but not essential
• Understand the shifts are until finish, a degree of flexibility is needed at peak times
• Be able to travel to and from site reliably for shifts
• Want a long term role, not a temporary role
