Warehouse Operative

Our client, who is a well-recognised company is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to work at their busy warehouse in Bury St Edmunds. The right candidate must have a current Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence and must have at least a minimum of 2 Years experience, fully competent in Goods-in & Stores role.

Working as part of the Stores Team, the primary function of the role is to maintain, locate and distribute materials accurately and within a timely manner, ensuring all relevant data processes are accurately executed.

Duties:

• Order Picking items using a handheld scanner.
• Packing orders and preparing them for dispatch.
• Receiving goods into inventory, ensuring a high level of accuracy
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Support the training and development of work colleagues as may be required.

Hours & Pay:

• Full-Time
• Working hours are: Monday and Tuesday of each week: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch break, Wednesday and Thursday of each week: 6:00 am to 3:45 pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch break
• The rate of pay is £12.00 per hour.

Personal Specification:

• Must have warehouse experience.
• Be reliable and trustworthy.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Be physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting.
• Own transport is desirable due to company location.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence
