Warehouse Operative (Nights)

With its head office based in Doncaster, and operations in Tilbury Docks and Cardiff, McGregor Logistics operates a large and diverse fleet enabling us to provide a reliable and consistent service to our customers. We have a newer fleet of c 75 DAF trucks equipped with Double Bunks, Fridge, Microwave, TV, 24v-240v Inverters, Climate control, leather steering wheel and much more. We operate c150 trailers, including curtain sided trailers, walking floor trailers, Moffett mounted curtain sided trailers, skeletal trailers, refrigerated box trailers and low loaders.

We now have vacancy for Warehouse Operatives to join our friendly warehouse team based at Site 2, G Park, Armthorpe, Doncaster, working on the night shift, preferably for an immediate start. Site 2 houses our pallet network operation alongside multi user warehousing and the successful candidates would be involved in all aspects of the warehouse operation.

Role Responsibilities

• Unload collection and delivery vehicles
• Load Trunk (Double Decks) trailers
• Scanning of freight
• Warehousing housekeeping
• Order Picking
• Putting storage stock away
• Tranships
• Route Planning Training (For holiday cover)

Person Requirements

• Forklift (Counterbalance and Reach) licence and experience preferred - FLT essential
• Pallet Network experience preferred.
• Experience of traffic (route) planning preferred
• "Can do" attitude
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job eg loading/unloading, operating curtain-siders etc
• Computer literate
• Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
• Safety conscious ensuring that personal, FLT and load safety, and that of others, is a key priority.

Hours

• Hours of work are 18:00-06:00
• Monday to Friday
