Warehouse/Production Operative

Tuffbau Ltd are a market leading manufacturer of specialist construction materials, working from a bright, modern premises. We’re a small, friendly team consisting of approximately 30 staff, spread across office, production and despatch.

Location

Canvey Island, Essex.

New factory and office development on Northwick Road, at Charfleets Roundabout, with excellent transport links.

Role

Working primarily in the factory, you’ll be part of the warehouse/production team, reporting to the Production Manager. Attention to detail is key for this role with a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

The factory is in continuous development, with new production lines being installed. Therefore flexibility with regards your daily roles will be essential. You must enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• General yard and warehouse duties such as housekeeping, cleaning and painting
• Logistics, service and distribution support
• Packaging of products
• Assisting with production and bagging of products
• Following company health and safety procedures, including working practices, PPE, general equipment maintenance

Skills/Attributes

• Team player, good communicator
• Attention to detail is essential
• Hard working, enthusiastic, flexible
• Fork lift experience would be beneficial

Hours of work

Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts on a rota system between the hours of 6am and 6pm

Peak seasons may require you to work in some additional shift patterns and/or weekends to meet the demands of the business, with overtime paid pro-rata.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000.00 per year
