Warehouse Supervisor (Nights)

Overview

A new opportunity has arisen for a Night Warehouse Supervisor at the Wincanton Contract for B&Q in Preston Brook, Runcorn. This position is Monday to Friday 7pm - 5am. Ideally you will have supervisory experience and working knowledge of warehouse operations. FLT license required.

Reporting into the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will lead a team of 5 colleagues, ensuring that stock is accounted for from 3/6 deliveries inbound. You will also ensure up to 18, 12T HGV wagons are loaded correctly with deliveries for next day.

This role is paying a salary of £33,750 p.a which includes the shift premium.

Shift Pattern - Monday Friday 19:00 to 05:00

How will you contribute?

• Responsible for aspects of safety, service and people management and achievement of the appropriate KPI’s while on shift.
• Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement
• To ensure the operation achieves targeted daily and weekly KPIs, through effective use of the planning / scheduling information available
• To ensure the department provides a quality first class service to the customer
• Ensure the site complies with Health and Safety legislation
• Ensuring returns process for clients stock is managed effectively
• Ensuring that all stock is loaded safely and effectively to avoid Noncompliance of KPIs
• Supervise and conduct investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings as required
• Manage the absence levels within the team.

What will you bring?

• Experience of working within an operations environment, covering warehouse operations
• Experience of supervising/managing a team
• Understanding of Warehouse Storage and loading targets
• Experience of working within a unionised environment would be advantageous.
• FLT license is required
