Website IT Support Technician

Flagship Media Group Ltd, a leading Northern Ireland web design company require a support technician to join our IT Department helping to manage our large fleet of hosted websites.

This is an opportunity to join a busy team in Belfast helping to support our customers with their website, hosting, domain name and email issues on both the client side and server side.

This role involves taking newly designed websites and supporting clients through the process of setting their new site live on the internet, dealing with their domain names and email.

You will also support our existing, extensive portfolio of websites dealing with any problems that may arise as well as helping oversee our servers.

Experience in this area or in IT support would be useful, but full training will be provided.

This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Belfast offices, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 930am - 530pm.

What you'll be doing

• Providing technical support to our large customer base for their website and email hosting in WHM/CPanel and using Wordpress
• Setting newly designed websites live on the internet
• Dealing with client domain name and email transfers and supporting them on an ongoing basis
• Diagnosing and dealing with website technical & hosting issues as well as client side email and connection issues
• Supporting client side PC and mobile issues using remote assistance software
• Working with web servers, control panels and a variety of email clients and DNS systems

What you'll need

• An IT qualification and/or IT support experience
• An ability and willingness to learn
• Excellent IT skills and technical ability – you'll be a problem solver
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including on the phone and the ability to effectively help non technical people
• Attention to detail
• The ability to organise your workload and juggle tasks
