Welder

Fletchers Waste Management Limited (incorporating Fletcher Plant Limited and Retford Waste Limited) is an established waste and recycling business based in Sheffield and an Investors in People employer.

Due to continuing growth, we are looking to expand our on-site welding team at our Sheffield facility and recruit an experienced, highly motivated and qualified Welder (MIG & Stick) who will be responsible for working on heavy plant and machinery on site (repairs to shredders, trommels etc. including hard-facing and replacement of worn/missing teeth) and assisting with skip repairs resulting from use and corroded elements such as:

- tipping bar

- crack welding

- replacement of walls and floors

- replacement of channel steel

Sheet thickness from 3 to 12mm

Steel cutting methods:

- Torch

- Plasma

- Angle grinder

- Bench grinder

A weld test will be carried out at interview.

A current counterbalance forklift qualification would be preferable but not essential as training can be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £13.00-£24.00 per hour
