If you like working hands on, you could be learning how to cut materials using powered tools and thermal processes as part of this role. You will learn how to use manual arc welding processes including Tungsten Inert Gas and Metal Inert Gas to join materials. We are looking to source an exceptional welding apprentice for Havant Sheet Metal (HSM).
Training to be provided:
This Welding apprenticeship programme forms part of HSM’s succession planning for the future. You will be trained, supported and monitored during the process. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will be paid and day released to PETA’s Havant training centre for off-the-job training. You will learn how to work safely, work efficiently, use technical information, prepare and use MIG, TIG and MMA welding equipment.
At the end of the programme, you will achieve the General Welder (Arc Processes) apprenticeship standard. Overall duration 18 months.
