Description
That Engineering Company Ltd design, manufacture and install bespoke machinery, including general engineering and servicing of plants within our Cambridge University sites. They are currently looking for a Welding apprentice to join their team.
Main Duties will include:
- Site Work – Servicing
- Workshop – Sheetmetal Fabrication
- Workshop – TIG, MIG and MMA Welding
- Day to day contact – Ollie Distill
Entry requirements
GCSE grade 3 or above in Maths and English required.
Training to be provided
- The learner will be studying the General Welder (arc processes) Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
Candidate will be working on site at some of the most prestigious Universities in Cambridge. This will include both indoor and outdoor working.
