Environment- Summer Degree Intern

We would like to present an excellent opportunity for first- and second-year degree students interested in working in Local Authority and Environment. You will need to be available from June to August inclusive for 30 hours per week.

Details:
June 12th until September 8th 2023
12 weeks fixed term
Monday to Friday (to be agreed which 4 days)
30 hours per week
NJC02
Possible agile working-on occasion
Based at Doughty Depot Grimsby with potential to visit other sites

We are seeking a committed and motivated student who can work independently in areas which may involve:

  • Contributing to the Council’s Green Agenda by working with departments across the Council to ensure environmental targets are being met.
  • The opportunity to participate in a variety of projects involving different departments across the organisation.
  • Encouraging community engagement and sustainable actions.
  • Communicating and promoting the health and wellbeing benefits of being in the natural environment.
  • Activities to Increase biodiversity across the borough.
  • Partnership working to achieve our green vision.
