Your responsibilities

As a manual tester at Switchee you will be responsible for ensuring quality and reliability of our software products. Your testing will cover the embedded firmware that powers our smart thermostats, comms to our AWS-based cloud platform plus the various web and mobile UIs that connect to our cloud services.

Tasks:

• Conducts regression testing of various platforms to ensure that existing functionality remains unchanged as well as feature/exploratory testing on new features.
• Identify, document, and report bugs found.
• Investigate and document bugs found by other teams/customers.
• Be aware of upcoming releases and work with the QA team to prioritise accordingly.
• Review documentation and collaborate directly with developers in order to work independently.
• Provide regular progress updates internally to the QA team as well as to the larger Product Engineering team.

Experience and skills:

• At least 1 year experience working as a manual QA
• Experience executing, updating, and writing test cases using a test management tool.
• Experience collaborating with engineers to resolve issues during testing.
• Experience logging bugs using a ticket management tool.
• Somewhat tech savvy (would not be shy to open up devices or learn to read debug logs)
• Knowledge of the SDLC

Nice to have:

• ISTQB foundation level certification
• Experience with JIRA, XRay
• IoT devices QA experience
• Mobile app testing experience

• Location: Able to visit the London office regularly (at least 2X per week) to access test equipment
