About the team
We are a market leading, growing, and successful organisation, recruiting for a new Apprentice Monitoring Engineer. As part of an engaging and vibrant team, your days will be varied, fast paced, with a buzz and passion for customer happiness.
About the role
This role is known in our organisation is known as a ‘MAS Technician’ and trust us, this is your typical support technician job, with a lot of elements that make up your day to day working pattern, giving rise to a breadth of skills you will be able to nurture and cultivate during your time with us. As part of being an Apprentice, we will give you exposure to a wide range of tasks and functions to ensure your day-to-day role is diverse and engaging. Whilst this role is home based, you may be expected to travel occasionally to office locations and to attend team days.
The Apprentice Monitoring Engineer will be working in a small team responsible for the architecture, engineering, development & support of monitoring platforms focused on Service Providers (Internet, Managed and Cloud). Responsible for daily support around multiple backend platforms and triaging monitoring issues for a wide range of technologies from Unified Communications, Servers, Network, Storage, Hypervisor etc. The team have direct input into industry leading applications and features that will support the development of the ‘front end’ as well as individual customer applications.
The MAS Technician Apprentice will contribute to the decision making and decisions of the platforms and features as well as maintaining an ongoing awareness of emerging tools, technologies, and trends.
