Join our Services_EMEA team within Services division in United Kingdom as Welder to help us take our Service Centre to the next level. Your opportunity to work in a purpose built, new facility with a clean, spacious work environment.

The Service Centre works across multiple industry sectors and repairs a large array of different equipment and components. No two days are ever the same and this role will provide a large amount of variation and allow you to challenge yourself on a daily basis.

In this role you will be accountable for:

• Providing welding services for repair of components by overlay & general fabrication.
• Follow detailed weld procedures and instructions, including determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on the customer requirements.
• Prepare various different sizes of components and materials for fabrication, weld repair and build up. This involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape or object.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Recognised welding apprenticeship or significant relevant experience.
• Previous experience in gmaw, MIG, TIG and submerged arc welding techniques and processes and experience of different welding positions.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use applicable hand tools (grinders etc).
• NDT (MPI & DPI) to PCN Level 2 advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to follow procedures and obtain welder qualifications.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.

Location: We are based on the outskirts of York you will be close the historic walled City of York, whilst only a few minutes’ drive off the Outer Ring Road and 10 minutes’ drive to the A64, this road connects to the A1M and M1. York is a city with a lot to offer with, a wide variety of shops, theatres, and fab restaurants. As well as cool bars and a pub for almost every day of the year.
